Everyone IS and Knows "I Am"
The core issue
with respect to spiritual seeking and the search for awakening or liberation has to do with who you take yourself to be. If
your core assumption is that you are a suffering person and you want to become an enlightened person, then you are simply
barking up the wrong tree!
Are
you one who has searched to the ends of many paths to get something "for me" - the person you assumed was real and solid as
a separate entity? Or are you just starting a "search for Self"? Either way, it is overwhelmingly likely that at the end of
all "spiritual paths", you'll come to the hard fact that most "seasoned seekers" share - the seeker finds nothing but frustration
and a sense of incompleteness. WHY? Untrue assumptions about what we are.
See that You - The Self
- ARE ... and cannot NOT Be. And look for a separate "controlling entity" "you" assumed was "really you" and notice you find
... Nothing. That - No Thing - is the Eternal, Natural Stateless State. That Thou Art. This is pointed to in many places as
I AM THAT I AM. Just That and Nothing else.
Seeing the empty nature
of the full aliveness of what you are, Unchanging Awareness, Being ItSelf, puts an end to the search, not for the person,
but by removing the false assumption of there actually being any person separate from Awareness - the Whole. "Some call this Ordinary Awareness" - Padmasambhava
"You are aware of being conscious, correct?
Parse that out very carefully. YOU are aware OF being conscious. Therefore, you are that which is aware of the coming and
going of consciousness. That awareness is not a state or experience, however glorious or exalted. It is the basis and ground
of all experiencing. It is that which is prior to the arising of consciousness and prior to any and all subsequent experiences
in consciousness. It is the timeless, spaceless, unborn and uncreated, non-conceptual, non-dual absolute. You are That".
